Robbie, I'm at the tail end of a pleasant drunk in celebration of completing a certification I've been working towards all year, and I just put on "13 Hillbilly Giants" and thought to check your website.
Before the crying time starts, let me hoist one more glass for your birthday! Happy Birthday now and many happy returns! Listening to your music reminds me that I've got a few things to do to be more like you before I die (I'm not stalking you, I just want to understand a guitar!), and that you're an irreplaceable resource.
In the course of celebrating, I happened to check my bank balance, and though I was laid off from a job I didn't like, I am now certain I can afford the 50-Voice Doberman I put off buying. As I mentioned to you in Seattle's Tractor Tavern, I feel so much better about buying music directly from the artist.
I'm humble before the emotive power of your music (and covers), and wish you the best in all your life and ventures. Happy birthday, again. I drink to your continued success. Then I'm cutting myself off.
