come hear me play!
"Okay, gang," as Don Rickles used to say and for no apparent reason. I'll be swamped until around the 18th, and until then, there's really only one thing I'd like to drive home -- and that's not, as Peter deVries used to say and for very good reason, the petite redhead sitting third row back. It's my special upcoming shows, dangit! I'll likely not have this exact group of players together again under one roof, and I'm excited from skull to sole to make music with them, especially since it's new music that we're soon putting to wax. The deets:
Robbie Fulks (guitar and voice), Robbie Gjersoe (stringed things and voice), Jenny Scheinman (fiddle and voice), Ron Spears (mandolin and Voice), and Mike Bub (doghouse and voice)
Evanston IL SPACE, Thursday Nov. 10 at 8P
Springfield IL Hoogland Center for the Arts, Friday Nov. 11 at 8P
Rosemont IL Montrose Room, Saturday Nov. 12 at 8P
Links to venue websites are on tour page (and sidebar right). Please get advance tickets to these. One is getting full, one's looking puny, and I ain't saying which, because I don't want to discourage anyone from doing anything. I will say that, if you are simply mad about me, seeing two of these shows wouldn't be outrageous -- about one-third of each show will be improvisational/new. Every show is guaranteed to have: fast picking, high singing, lots of harmony singing, a couple funny songs, several sad songs, fancy clothing, and me mocking the band members and gabbing about airline food, etc.
Come hear me play! I am better than you fear.

Great photo on the Montrose main web page!
Dang, I wish I had more money; or even some money.
I'd like to invite you to Church. Church of Great Rain, that is. An amazing community event on Vashon Island...a place with LOTS of Robbie Fulks fans. Check out Church here: http://www.churchofgreatrain.com/ -Pete-
