yesterday at the hideout
Sorry that I forgot to post it, and glad word seemed to have got out anyway: in honor of the anniversary of Gram Parsons's death, we played The Gilded Palace of Sin, our hero's 1968 LP with The Flying Burrito Brothers. Not the most "artistic" thing to be doing at a nightclub, but...fun.

The Gram/Burrito Bros. show on Monday was great and got me thinking about planting the idea of doing the Byrd's SWEETHEART OF THE RODEO in your head. It's got Gram (a little bit, anyway) in it too! Also, how about posting your rewite of Hippie Boy on this blog? Too snarkily brilliant not to be shared with a wider audience...
Sweetheart of the Rodeo? Great idea!
Gram sang lead on most of those songs to begin with-check out the bonus tracks on the CD reissue.
Wow, someone posted this on youtube, all I can say is bravo! What a great job. One of my favorite tunes.
