come see me in california

By Robbie on July 27, 2011

Robbie Gjersoe and I are playing three dates this weekend. On Friday our show in the Palo Alto area is private, but some seats are available, and you can email the promoter, Todd, at tj_vva@sbcglobal.net if you're interested in getting one. On Saturday, the radio station KPIG has been nice enough to host us at the Backstage Lounge. The address is 1205 Soquel Avenue and we start playing at 7:30. On Sunday we're at McCabe's in Santa Monica, and on Monday back home in Chicago, at the Hideout.

We will be welcoming the two Robbies this Friday, July 29th at 8PM in Portola Valley, CA for a Private Club Concert. A few seats are still available for this show and we'd love to have a full house for the boys...if you're a a die hard fan, contact me. We have a great 200 seat room w/ full service bars, state of the art sound system and stage. Located just West of 280 above Stanford University. email me at tj_vva@sbcglobal.com for reservations/information. TJ

    Robbie,
We were embarrassed by the riches of your Midwestern appearances a couple summers ago with the release of the doberman pile, but all things Fulk in the widespread area are dry and dusty since then.

There's a rich bed of love in the Davenport/Moline area that doesn't know it is ready to attach itself to your thing yet, but I've seen our local scene devour the likes of Junior Brown and Dale Watson in giant, unlikely, and unprepared gulps, along with the crazyily popular Daytrotterd thing, so we're more than primed for your deal. You'd kill out here, and repeatedly. My request is selfish, but sincere.

Rock Island Brewing Company is the A-one venue for you, and we will pack it.

    paul

McCabes show. Wow! The sound was amazing. Hats of to the McCabes sound engineer. Gav and I sat in the very back and the sound was full and warm. Robbie and Robbie were in excellent form. I can't wait for the new record Robbie. The new stuff is fantastic and definitely gets me excited to hear it all. Thanks for coming back to Cali. McCabes shows rule!
