this monday at the hideout
I cover Gram Parsons's visionary and impeccably executed long-player, Grievous Angel. If you're thinking of coming but like the record as is, don't let fear of wanton, unleashed creativity deter you. Scout's honor, I'm not going to fuck with it as I did with Slow Train Coming last year. One humbly submits to a set of songs so fully realized, and checks one's fancy beret in the anteroom. The band will be Brian Wilkie, Chris Neville, Gerald Dowd, John Abbey, and Nora O'Connor as Emmylou Harris.

Crap! One of my favorite living artists covering one of my favorite records. Shame on me for having to work for a living and living in Canada. Crap, Crap, Crap!
I'm so sad I missed this show! Was there a recording made? If so I'd love to hear it!
True enough, the show was great...too bad the album was so short. I'm looking forward to next Monday.
