this monday at the hideout

I debut a new quartet called The Scavengers. A signal moment in Chicago musical history! Not really, but since it's not even listed in local punning manual Time Out, I'd better hype it hard. If you've seen me at the Hideout more than a couple times over the past year you've probably seen these musicians -- no big surprises -- all good tenor singers, all adept with multiple tools. The idea for the group, which is going to play pretty often on Mondays in '11, is that it will present new or little-played originals of mine for which I don't have another forum, and beyond that it'll roam freely between country, jazz, folk, and pop. (BTW, this one should start closer to the 7P mark than usual.)
