coming home, or not
I'm on my way home, into O'Hare this early afternoon from New York. What is being called a life-threatening blizzard is due to arrive about the same time, so we'll see who makes it first. If I end up stuck in the Big Apple, I will surely be despondent, idly marking the seconds till the next flight back. This message has been for my wife.

Hope you get back safely to Chicago.
It was really great seeing you perform last night.
We all enjoyed it and it brought back some fond memories. Hope to see you again when you are back in NYC.
yes, the Monday nite show was fun. I walked out with the line "she took a lot of drugs and died" stuck in my head.
perfect.
Given the weather and airports, I'm guessing you're hunkered down at Ray's. But i hope you made it home.
oops "She took a lot of PILLS and died" of course.
Well, my flight back to Cleveland was cancelled, and I had to spend two extra days in NYC - terrible, terrible. I really dug the show - first time I've seen you play without the band. Loved "Biscuits" and the t-shirt.
another thank you from another satisfied fan. Did you get a chance to listen to the Jacksons CD? Also enjoyed talking w/your friend Adam (Alex?) from the 80s WKCR alumni - small world, he knew my former boss from the 90s - he of KCR, too.
Speaking of WKCR, what was the title of the tome you referred to (the screed that bashed country music lyrics) when you talked about your recent "ambush" interview?
