no hideout this monday/end-of-year show
I'm off Monday the 20th. Have a good Christmas week.
Holiday duties aside, I'll be preparing for the 2010 year-end wrap-up at Fitzgeralds on the 29th. Our actor guest this year is the marvelous Joe Dempsey, whom Chicago theatergoers will easily recognize from his nearly constant performing at places like the Goodman, Looking-glass, Northlight, Neo-Futurists, and Second City. The Rap of The Dead is for some reason very, very long this year, and so even harder to memorize than usual; those who indulge in Schadenfreude will enjoy watching me trip on myself while trying to say "Hezbollah's Mohammed Hamadi/Brazilian M.D. Henrique Pinotti" at a Monroe Brothers clip. The political comedy gives the Tea Party and the midterm elections much attention, of course, and as always, I aim for equal-opportunity offense, and personal-belief inscrutability. Advance sales are moving pretty well, so I encourage you to buy your tickets in advance!
