has been cancelled by the promoter, so please don't drive 250 miles to come to it! (As I was planning to do.)
The bad news is I'm laid up in bed with what I hope isn't but is acting like the early phase of the flu that had Mrs. Fulks out of commission for 5 days last week. The good news is that I have a volume of Amy Hempel stories by the bed, and these read even better in sickness than in health.
I am working on an apothegm, something like: If you want a lot of mail, attack Ryan Adams, and if you don't, attack God. For the few who did respond my post on the argument from beauty/design, though, thanks, and more on that later.
Our end-of-the-year show date has just been inked; it's on Wednesday December 29 at Fitzgerald's in Berwyn, Illinois. As always, music, comedy, musical comedy, politics, a contest or two, and The Rap of The Dead. If I live that long.
